Good morning and welcome to our blog.  This weekend, Bellwood observes Memorial Day by displaying over 2,000 American, State and Service flags.  As you plan your busy weekend, we ask that you stop and reflect on the very people who have secured your freedom.  We owe a HUGH debt to our military.  Join with us to honor these true heroes!  Please have a safe and restful holiday weekend.

I visited Bellwood Memorial Park the last week of July, 2015. The park was in deplorable condition. Grass must not have been cut this entire year and it had definitely not been trimmed back from the walkways, streets and stones. Stones were sunken into the ground, some completely covered some only half way. Definitely, the park looked as though it was no longer being taken care of. Needless to say, I am somewhat angry because of the condition, not only the sight where my parents are buried, but the other burial sights as well. Those people paid for perpetual care and I'm sure good money. This is what they were told the graves would recieve, this is what their graves should get...Perpetual Care. Maybe the people buried there cannot see the deplorable sight of their plots, but they definitely have family and children that care and want the best for their parents and loved ones. If you have loved ones buried at this park, I strongly suggest you write the ones over the park as well as blog this web sight. Get the word out, please. There is no excuse for such treatment of these dear departed souls.
